No, not too simple at all. We do generally prefer lean-back content, most of the time. But there is still ample room for growth in converting casual listeners — even to just one show — to regular listeners. The percentage of Americans 12+ who have ever listened to a podcast is 44%. The weekly percentage is 17%. Surely we can do better with the 27% left on the table! And, to your point, that may require incorporating music into podcasting, which is certainly one of the biggest brakes on the medium. Thanks for your comment.
